My First trip to Phoenix

This weekend I went to Phoenix with Mommy, Aunt Patti, Nana, Aunt Dia, Aunt Edna, and Cousin Caitlin. Aunt Fina was inducted into the Arizona Hispanic Sports Hall of Fame and Uncle Ben's team had a basketball tournament. Mommy and I went to Grammy and Grandpa's house to visit on Friday night. There was so much to look at at Grammy and Grandpa's house. I got to meet Grammy and Grandpa's good friends, Rhonda and Ralph. Uncle Ben's team did very well in the tournament. Congratulations Uncle Ben. I can't wait until I can go to see his team play. I stayed with Grammy while Grandpa and Mommy went to the ceremony for Aunt Fina. Poppy met everyone in Phoenix on Saturday for the ceremony. Aunt Dia accepted the award on behalf of Aunt Fina. I wish I could have meet Aunt Fina. I would have loved her very much.

Daddy's work

Mommy took me to visit Daddy at his work. I got to meet some of his co-workers and look at the busses. I really like the lights in the shop.

My First Trip to Show Low

For Memorial Day weekend Mommy, Daddy, and I went to Show Low to visit Grammy and Grandpa at their cabin. Tia Renee, Tio Martin, and Angelica went to. We had to take two cars because I needed so much stuff. It was nice to get out of the heat. I spent a lot of time hanging out with Grammy. I also got to go for a walk in the neighborhood and I sat on the porch watching golfers go by.
I had a lot of stories to tell Grammy.

Do we really need all this stuff?

Two of Uncle Michael's favorite things...In-N-Out Burger and Me!

Just hanging out

Daddy, Tio Martin, and Angelica went to the go cart track while Mommy and Tia Renee went grocery shopping. It looks like Angelica is winning. Go Angelica!

Congratulations Angelica

Today Angelica graduated from 5th grade. She starts middle school next year. We went to Chuy's to celebrate. Mommy and Daddy remember when Angelica was only 5 years old. In a couple of years she will be able to babysit me. Congratulations Angelica

This was my first time at Chuy's. Mommy and Daddy like to go "clubbin'" at Chuy's on Thursday nights with Tio Martin and Tia Renee for Date Night. All of the waitresses were exicted to finally meet me. It was a Wednesday instead of a Thursday, so Daddy couldn't be there because he had to work. We missed you Daddy. I promise I didn't have any fun without you.

Drag Racing with Daddy

Mommy took me to the track for the first time to watch Daddy drag race. I spent most of the time in the trailer with Mommy and Tia Renee where it wasn't quite as loud. I didn't mind the noise because I was used to hearing it from when I was in Mommy's tummy. I did get to come out to meet Some of Mommy and Daddy's friends and to take a picture with Daddy in his dragster. I can't wait until I get to watch him race. I even wore onesie with a racecar on it. Maybe Daddy will get me a Don's Hot Rod t-shirt.
Go fast, Daddy!

Happy Mother's Day, Mommy!

Happy first Mother's Day, Mommy! Mother's Day was a very busy day. Mommy, Daddy, and I went to church with Aunt Patti, Caitlin, Nana, and Aunt Dia at 7:00 AM. After church we had Poppy's pancake breakfast. Then we went home for a quick nap before going back into town for brunch at El Parador.
Cousin Caitlin and I got to be in the picture of all the mothers because we are so cute.

One Month Old

Today I am a month old. Mommy and Daddy think I have grown a lot, but most people still think I am tiny. I have to go to the doctor twice a week for weight checks until I am 7 pounds, but I am well on my way. On average I gain a little over an ounce a day and the doctor is very happy with my progress (He wants a half ounce to an ounce a day). Today I was 6 pounds 10 ounces and 19 3/4 inches. Here are a few pictures to compare how I looked at a few days old and how I look now...

Staying Awake

I am starting to stay awake more throughout the day (and sometimes at night, sorry Mom and Dad). When I'm awake (if I am not eating), I like to swing in my swing, sit in my Cousin Catilin's elephant chair, read books with Mommy and Daddy, listen to music, and talk to my stuffed animals.

Uncle Dave sent me this colorful moose. It squeeks so I have to make sure Annie doesn't get it because she will like it too. In this picture, I rolled on my side and made noises while looking at the moose.

Barbara Ward (Aunt Karen's sister) sent me this duck. It plays music and the head moves. I like to watch it move and the music calms me.

Cousin Caitlin let me borrow this chair. Its a little big for me but I still like to sit in it. Thank you for sharing you toys Cousin Caitlin.

Thank you Aunt Dia for my swing. I love it and so does Mommy because it give her a chance to get things done now that I am awake more throughout the day.

My First Kentucky Derby

Today I watched my first Kentucky Derby with my parents. I was wide awake for the big race but I slept through all of the other races. Mommy didn't have a fancy hat for me to wear so I wore a headband instead.
